Terms of Service

Welcome to Clipd. By creating an account or using clipd.org (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

1. What Clipd is

Clipd is a marketplace that connects content creators ("Creators") with people who make short clips ("Clippers"). Creators fund campaigns; Clippers turn their content into short clips and earn based on the views those clips receive.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to hold a valid PayPal account in your country and to enter a binding agreement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for following the laws of your own country.

3. How earnings work

• Clippers earn €1 per 1,000 views on approved clips.
• You may only submit clips you created yourself from content tied to an active campaign.
• All submitted view counts are subject to review and verification before approval. Clipd may reject any clip.
• Earnings are only credited once a clip is approved.

4. Campaign budgets

Each campaign has a budget funded by the Creator. Clippers collectively cannot earn more than that budget. When a campaign's budget is used up, the campaign closes and no further earnings are paid for it. This guarantees every approved payout is covered.

5. Payouts

• You can request a payout once your available balance reaches €20.
• Payouts are sent via PayPal on request. You are responsible for providing a correct PayPal email.
• Clipd is not responsible for delays, fees, or issues caused by PayPal or incorrect details you provide.

6. Prohibited conduct

The following result in forfeiture of earnings and a permanent ban:

• Fake, bought, or bot-generated views.
• Submitting clips you didn't make, or reposting others' work.
• Submitting clips not tied to a real, funded campaign.
• Operating multiple accounts to farm earnings.
• Any attempt to defraud Clipd, Creators, or other users.

7. Creators

Creators must fund campaigns up front. Once Clippers begin earning from a campaign, those earned amounts are non-refundable. Campaigns must be approved by Clipd before going live.

8. No guarantee of earnings

Clipd does not guarantee any specific level of views or earnings. Your results depend on your clips and the campaigns available.

9. Suspension & termination

Clipd may suspend or close any account that breaks these Terms or that we reasonably suspect of fraud, with or without notice.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Platform grows. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, Clipd is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Platform.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Clipd collects and how we use it. We keep it simple and only collect what we need to run the Platform.

1. What we collect

• Account info: your name and email from your Google sign-in.
• Activity: the clips and links you submit, view counts, your level and earnings.
• Payout info: the PayPal email you provide to get paid.

2. How we use it

• To run your account and show your dashboard.
• To track views, calculate earnings, and pay you.
• To prevent fraud and keep the Platform fair.

3. Where it's stored

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Google Cloud). We don't store payment card details — payouts go through PayPal.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share what's necessary to send payouts (e.g. your PayPal email to PayPal) or where required by law.

5. Your rights

You can ask to see or delete your data at any time by emailing hello.clipd@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your personal data, though we may keep limited records needed for legal or anti-fraud reasons.

6. Cookies & local storage

We use minimal browser storage to keep you signed in and remember which notifications you've seen. We don't use advertising trackers.

7. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under the minimum age required to hold a PayPal account in their country.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the Platform grows. We'll post the new date at the top.
